Kaitlin Murray Park is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and San Diego native. She has been working in Mental Health in San Diego since 2007.
Kaitlin attended undergraduate studies at Azusa Pacific University and majored in Psychology. After working for two years with children in a behavioral program in the school setting, and coaching adolescents in high school Lacrosse for several seasons, Kaitlin discovered she wanted to have more influence on people’s mental health and emotional wellness. With that goal in mind, Kaitlin continued her education at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego and graduated in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She spent her intern year at San Diego Hospice and enjoyed the population she served there, immensely. Kaitlin continued to volunteer her time with children at the Camp Erin San Diego event, a weekend retreat for bereaved children. After graduation, Kaitlin worked full-time with Fred Finch Youth Center, in their Regional Center Wraparound program, providing mental health and behavioral services in family homes for almost six years. Here Kaitlin discovered her passion for working with teens and young adults who have an Autism Spectrum diagnosis and how teaching parents and youth a little understanding of the diagnosis can go a really long way in mending relationships in the home.
Kaitlin has been licensed since 2015 and has vast experience working with adults, children, couples and families. She is skilled in treating various mental health concerns and developmental diagnoses. Kaitlin looks forward to supporting you, in your journey toward wellness and wholeness.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. Some of her favorite activities are: playing sports, hiking, camping, gardening and raising chickens. You may also find her around town eating at local “hole in the wall” restaurants, if you know of a good one, she loves recommendations.
